Meet Tracy McCafferty, LCSW
About
I work with women who are used to holding everything together—until it starts to feel like too much.
The kind of women who show up for everyone else…
but underneath it all feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin.
If that’s you, you’re not doing anything wrong.
You’ve just been doing it on your own for a long time.
Why I do this work
Over the years, I’ve worked in hospitals, crisis settings, and private practice.
I’ve sat with people in some of their hardest moments—when everything feels overwhelming, uncertain, or unclear.
And what I’ve seen again and again is this:
Women are often incredibly good at managing everything…
until there’s no space left for themselves.
They push through.
They carry more than they should.
They figure it out.
Until one day, it just stops working.
How that shapes my work
I bring both perspective and practicality into our work together.
I’ll help you understand what’s happening—but also help you figure out what to do about it.
You’ll leave sessions with a clearer sense of direction and what to do next.
What it’s like to work with me
Therapy with me is thoughtful, real, and focused on helping things actually feel different in your life.
There’s space to talk honestly about what’s going on—but also a clear direction forward.
And yes, there’s room for humor too.
Because sometimes the most accurate way to describe what you’re going through is,
…this is a lot more than it should be.
Why I work with women
I work exclusively with women because the pressure to hold everything together often runs deep.
Over time, that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself.
This work is about helping you come back to yourself—without guilt.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.
You just need a place to begin.
