Not Everyone Shows Up the Way You Do

Sometimes the deepest disappointment isn’t what someone did.
It’s realizing you were loving, showing up, and extending yourself from a depth they were never capable of matching.

Many thoughtful, emotionally attuned people spend years assuming others operate with the same level of care, consideration, and self-awareness that they do.

Part of growth is recognizing that not everyone has the same capacity for emotional reciprocity — and learning to stop overextending in hopes that they eventually will.
